Xperience by Kentico Custom Widgets - HeroImage

A Hero Image is a prominent, large photo at the top of a webpage. It's prime space because it's the first thing users see. It's great for marketing, with customizable text and a call-to-action button. You can use it elsewhere on the site too, wherever it fits.

Installation

Install the RBT.Kentico.Xperience.Custom.Widgets.HeroImage.1.0.0 NuGet Package to your Xperience by Kentico website (>=29.4.0 with .Net 8.0) and rebuild the project.

Widget

This is a widget which allows you to add a HeroIamge to your page with certain attributes that can be configured while adding. The properties that can be configured are:

  • Is Visible: Select this to display the widget on the page
  • Hero Image CSS Class: Enter the desired CSS class for the banner div style
  • Hero Image Title: Enter the desired text to display in the Hero Image section
  • Hero Image Title CSS Class: Enter the desired CSS class for the Hero Image Title style
  • Desktop Image: Select an image (GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP) from the media library for the desktop view
  • Mobile Image: Select an image (GIF, PNG, JPG, JPEG, WebP) from the media library for the mobile view
  • Image Alt Text: Enter the desired alternative text for the image
  • Enable CTA Button: Select this to enable the CTA button on the Hero Image
  • CTA Button Text: Enter the desired CTA button text
  • CTA Button URL: Enter the desired target URL or select from the content tree
  • CTA Button Target: Select an option (e.g., _blank / _self)
  • CTA Button CSS Class: Enter the desired CSS class for the CTA button style
  • Content Before: HTML content placed before the widget content. Can be used to display a header or add encapsulating code such as <div>
  • Content After: HTML content placed after the widget content. Can be used to display a header or add encapsulating code such as <div>
