Frontmatec.UpdateManagement.Windows

The Updates window of a WPF app built on Frontmatec.Windows, in English and Danish: the installed version, the check and what it found, Update and Restart with the download's progress, and Include prereleases. A menu item opens it and checks; the check at start, quiet, opens it only for an update. The check and the download run off the window's thread, and a check that takes more than 20 seconds is given up.

Use

Register the texts with the update manager:

services.AddUpdateManagement(updates => updates.UseVelopack().AddWindows());

The main window's view model implements IUpdateHost and makes the UpdateViewModel:

Updates = componentFactory.CreateInstance<UpdateViewModel>(this);

and checks once its window shows:

mainWindow.Updates.CheckAtStart();

In the main window, the menu item:

Texts

The menu item is UpdateManagement.CheckForUpdates, "Check for _Updates..."; the window's texts are the other UpdateManagement.* keys of Resources.resx and Resources.da.resx.
